A True Ghost story - Cabbie Horror

This experience was shared with me by a cab driver called - Manoj. There is a lonely stretch of road in the city of Pune, near Methodist Church, Khadki. The road has a spooky feel to it, even during daytime, owing to dense trees on both the sides. Generally, this road is not very crowded or busy even during daytime, while in the night, it looks really scary.

So Manoj, being a cab driver, who drove for various companies picking up and dropping off their employees round the clock, happened to pass by this road once, in the dead of the night at around 3 am. Let's listen to his story in his own words - "I was going to pick up an employee, when near the Church, I saw this strange looking girl asking for a lift, at around 3 am in the night. I thought it was very weird for a lonely girl to be standing here at this time of the night, with nothing else in sight, like a broken car etc.

Instead of stopping, I just pushed the accelerator and shut all the windows of my car, increased the music volume and drove past her, completely ignoring her plea. I felt kind of relieved, as I crossed 100 meters or so, I saw the same girl waving at me for a lift again. I was shocked and scared, not knowing what to do, I pinched myself to check whether I was dreaming or was this really happening.

Sadly, it was real, I again pushed the accelerator and drove away, that's when I thought I'd lost her, but then it happened again. This time, she was standing right in the middle of the road, waving at me to stop. I'd goosebumps on my body and I started sweating profusely, I again increased the speed of the car and raced ahead. I was driving like a mad man, forgot all about the pick up and somehow managed to drive to my place.

Next day, I'd high fever and it took me one week to recover from the shock of this event. Later on, when I spoke to other cab drivers, many others also agreed to having witnessed the strange girl near the Church after midnight. It is rumored that the girl met with an accident and died at that spot, however, her spirit asks for a lift from passersby till date. "
